Fair, wine and the Nahe: your apartment for the festival days

The Kreuznach fair

The Jahrmarkt fair starts every year on the third Friday in August and runs until Tuesday, on the Pfingstwiese meadow by the river Nahe. The tourist information office calls it the largest folk festival between the Nahe, Moselle, Rhine and Saar. It has been held since 1810, with a Nahe wine tent and the Dippemarkt for ceramics and crafts.

Wine festivals

At the end of July, Wein im Park invites you for three days to the spa park of Bad Münster am Stein, with wineries from the region. In Rümmelsheim, where our apartment Im Bumert 3a is located, a wine courtyard festival is among the events held every year.

The Nahe wine region

According to the tourist information office, Bad Kreuznach is one of the largest wine-growing municipalities in the Nahe region, with more than seventy wineries. In the districts of Bosenheim, Planig, Ippesheim and Winzenheim, the feel of a wine village has been preserved.

The Nahe Wine Route runs as a circuit between Bingen am Rhein and Martinstein through the wine-growing villages of the region.

Cycling along the Nahe

The Nahe cycle path runs from the source of the Nahe to Bingen, passing through Bad Kreuznach. Along the way is the Rotenfels, according to the tourist information office the highest cliff face between the Alps and Scandinavia.
